Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Dog & District (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Dog & District is a dog-care business based in Greenwich, London. For any privacy question, email info@doganddistrict.com.

What we collect

  • Your contact details: name, email address, phone number (if given) and postcode or area.
  • Information about your dog: name, age, breed, behaviour, handling and health notes you choose to share.
  • Your care requirements: services, dates, times and any notes.
  • If you become a customer: address and access arrangements, emergency contacts and your vet's details.
  • Basic technical information needed to run the website securely (for example, server logs).

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a meet-and-greet (legitimate interests / steps before entering a contract).
  • To provide the services you book with us (performance of a contract).
  • To keep your dog safe, for example contacting your vet or emergency contact if needed (vital or legitimate interests).
  • To send occasional news about new services, only if you've opted in (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet legal, insurance and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the business, such as our website host and email delivery provider, who process data on our behalf. We may share information with your vet in an emergency, or where required by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Customer records are kept for as long as you use our services and for up to 6 years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes, then securely deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@doganddistrict.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

This website only uses cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary for it to work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add optional analytics, we'll ask for your permission first and you'll be able to change your choice at any time.

Photos

We'll only share photos of your dog publicly (for example on social media or our website) with your permission.
